External factors and their consequences

The current regulation of every country, the geopolitical situation, or the economic situation, among other factors, can determine the adoption of sustainable lifestyles, besides the technological innovations such as electric cars, which provide us possibilities to live our lives more responsibly.

There are external factors that can affect or cause impacts on livelihoods, which reduces their sustainability. The probability that these factors affect resources is called vulnerability.

"Vulnerability is the probability that livelihoods are affected by different factors, both external and internal".

Our livelihoods can be affected by external factors and if we do not have the necessary resources to cope and recover from the impact, we are vulnerable.
